Beer, Bacon and Cheddar Cornbread An easy recipe with a great flavour combination. Goes well with soups, chili, stews or simply on it’s own!
6 slices thick cut bacon chopped and fried
1 1/2 cup corn meal
1 1/2 cup All purpose flour
2 tbsp . sugar
1 1/2 tbsp . baking powder
3/4 tsp . salt
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
3 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup sour cream
1 cup beer
1/2 cup melted butter
For the topping
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
